I’m Rachel Fan Zhang, a designer based in San Francisco with over a decade experience in dental care.

But it wasn’t until I got braces again at 30 that it really hit me:
cleaning tooth surfaces is easy. Getting between them? Not so much.

I started mapping the blind spots in everyday oral care and designing tools that could reach them.

After three years of sketching, testing, and tweaking, I built a lineup of tools that not only feel great to use, but also look beautiful sitting on your bathroom counter.

That’s how Tonochi came to life.
