Commonly Asked Questions

Order

1) Will these hurt my sensitive gums?

No. Tonochi is designed to make gum-kind tools. Brushes use extra-soft tapered bristles. Floss uses smooth-glide waxed nylon. Picks use ultra-fine flexible silicone tips. You get a comfortable clean without the scratchy feel.

2) Does it actually clean as well as regular options?

Yes. Our designs target the gumline and the in-between, where most plaque hides. Expect a smooth, thorough finish after two minutes of brushing or a quick floss cycle.

3) How do I choose the right Tonochi tool?

For brushing, our Extra-Soft Max Toothbrush is for everyone, including sensitive gums.

For the in-between, choose by space:

Tight contacts: SlimWeave flat floss
Most gaps: expanding floss that swells with water to cover more surface
Wider spaces or bridges: double-strand twist floss or flexible picks you can angle

Not sure? Try Find Your Floss Fit at the images on the product pages.

4) I use an electric brush. Why use a manual toothbrush?

It’s your gentle backup: travel, midday freshen-ups, or tender-gum days. Many buyers keep both; some switched after trying Tonochi for a softer feel with a thorough clean.

5) What are the materials? Are they safe?

Brush bristles are PBT extra-soft tapered and the handle is BPA-free.

Floss uses smooth-glide BPA-free fibers, coated in a beeswax blend and infused with xylitol.

Picks use soft silicone tips.

Packaging is a recyclable paper box; picks come in a resealable, travel-ready pouch; multi-brush sets are individually wrapped for hygiene.

All Tonochi products are designed for safe daily oral care.

6) How long do they last, and when should I replace them?

Toothbrush: replace every 2 to 3 months, or after illness

Floss: replace the pack when it runs out; with typical daily use, one floss pack lasts about 2 months (3 packs included per single box)

Picks: single use, Flex Picks contain 4 cases of 80 picks, DuoGlides 4 pouches of 50 picks. Many keep a few for on-the-go refresh.

7) Can I use these with braces, bridges, or dental work?

Yes. Go gently along the gumline. Customers with orthodontics often choose ComboClean or Flex Picks.
